The MS Computer Science at BNU is a graduate-level program offered by the School of Computer & Information Technology (SCIT).

What makes this program stand out immediately is its accessibility. You do not need a traditional CS background to apply. BNU designed the program to welcome graduates from Computing, Engineering, and related Science disciplines, including students who built their skills through non-traditional paths.

The program covers six focus areas: Software Development, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Systems & Network Security, Cloud Computing & DevOps, Human-Computer Interaction, and Research in Computing & Emerging Technologies.

For your final year, you choose your path: complete a 6-credit MS Thesis or a combination of a 3-credit MS course and a 3-credit MS Project. Both options push you to produce original work that demonstrates real research and technical capability.

BNU Lahore offers multiple scholarship streams that MS students can apply for:

• Merit Based Scholarship — Score 90% or above in your previous degree (or 3As in A-levels) and you qualify for 75% coverage. Score 80% or above (or 2As) and you qualify for 50% coverage.
• Need Based Scholarship — For students from low-income families, BNU grants 25% to 50% of tuition based on verified financial hardship. This scholarship renews automatically each semester at a CGPA of 2.65.
• Dean's Scholarship — A combined need and merit award calculated from academic performance and BNU's admissions test and interview. An aggregate above 80% across the criteria makes you eligible.
• Sports Scholarship — For students with Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals at national or provincial level competitions. Four slots per cycle — two male, two female — with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 to retain it.
• Transgender Inclusion Scholarship — For applicants with a valid CNIC marked in the X category. Out-of-station recipients also receive a hostel stipend.

• A minimum CGPA of 2.0 or at least 60% marks in your last degree

2. Complete the online application form fully and carefully
3. Pay the non-refundable application fee via UBL bank deposit, the Blinq app, or 1Bill mobile banking
4. Upload attested scanned copies of all required documents in PDF format
5. Click "Final Submit" — you will receive an SMS confirmation
6. Appear for the SCIT entrance test (check the test pattern at bnu.edu.pk/admissions-schedule)
7. Attend an interview with SCIT faculty, held online via Zoom
