On October 27, 2025, the Institute of Psychology, in collaboration with the Wellbeing Society at Beaconhouse National University, commemorated World Mental Health Day through a vibrant and community-centered celebration. The event aimed to promote awareness, collective wellbeing, and meaningful engagement among students, faculty, and the wider university community.
The celebration opened with a lively bake sale, inaugurated by the Dean of the Institute of Psychology, Dr. Ruhi Khalid, and the Vice Chancellor of BNU, Dr. Moeed Yusuf. Students contributed an impressive array of baked goods, handmade accessories, art and craft stalls, stickers, crochet pieces, and henna art—each reflecting creativity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to wellbeing. A particularly memorable element of the event was a curated book stall featuring selections from Dr. Ruhi Khalid’s personal collection, offering students the opportunity to explore insightful readings on psychology, wellness, and personal development.
To further strengthen advocacy for mental health, a campus walk brought together students and faculty in a united expression of support for accessible mental health resources. This collective initiative not only fostered a sense of belonging and shared purpose but also helped raise funds for organizations dedicated to mental health and wellbeing. The Institute proudly acknowledges the dedication of all participants, contributors, and volunteers whose efforts made the event both meaningful and impactful.
