The Institute of Psychology, BNU, hosted a symposium on November 11, 2025, as part of the 1st International Child PsyCon 2025, showcasing innovative undergraduate research on adolescent wellbeing. Topics ranged from emotional intelligence and friendship quality to screen usage, maladaptive daydreaming, identity formation, and gender role attitudes.
Chaired by Dr. Sarah Shahed, Professor of Psychology at FCCU, and facilitated by Dr. Farhat Jamil, Head of the Institute of Psychology, the session provided students a platform to present research to leading academics. Dr. Ruhi Khalid, Director of IP, commended the depth and rigor of the work, offering constructive feedback to guide future scholarly inquiry.
The symposium highlighted BNU’s commitment to fostering research, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary exploration, while providing a meaningful space for students to engage with real-world challenges in adolescent development.
