On October 17, 2025, the LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship hosted an incisive session on cyber resilience, led by Mr. Nabeel Ahsan, Senior Lecturer at BNU’s School of Computer and IT. He outlined how startups can anticipate, withstand, and recover from cyber incidents through strategic preparedness and adaptive response.
Mr. Ahsan highlighted real-world breach scenarios to illustrate vulnerabilities faced by emerging ventures and discussed proactive defense strategies tailored to lean resources. He emphasized the importance of risk assessment, layered security, and incident response planning, urging founders to adopt resilience as a foundational business practice rather than an afterthought.
The session also strengthened collaboration between two leading institutions, reinforcing Pakistan’s startup ecosystem against escalating cyber threats. By fostering knowledge sharing and providing practical guidance, the event highlighted the crucial role of academic-industry partnerships in creating a secure and sustainable innovation landscape.
