GDGoC BNU Successfully Hosts HerTech 1.0 and Halshanas 2.0

The Google Developers Group on Campus (GDGoC) at Beaconhouse National University (BNU) successfully organized two major flagship events on the same day, demonstrating exceptional coordination and reinforcing the University’s growing presence in the technology and innovation ecosystem.

Held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, HerTech 1.0 and Halshanas 2.0 marked a significant milestone in BNU’s expanding culture of student-led technological engagement and inter-university collaboration.

Halshanas 2.0 welcomed participation from students representing over 25 universities, with 127 competing teams, making it one of the largest collaborative tech-based events hosted at BNU to date. The event highlighted strong inter-institutional engagement and reflected the growing enthusiasm for competitive and applied technological problem-solving.

HerTech 1.0, the first inter-university women-exclusive technology event hosted by BNU, emerged as a landmark initiative. With an overwhelming participation of 129 teams from diverse institutions, the event provided an empowering platform dedicated to encouraging women’s participation, innovation, and leadership within the fields of technology and digital innovation.

Both events collectively reflected BNU’s commitment to academic excellence, inclusivity, and innovation. Through strong student engagement, effective execution, and extensive inter-university participation, HerTech 1.0 and Halshanas 2.0 concluded as highly successful additions to BNU’s portfolio of student-led academic initiatives.
