Beaconhouse National University (BNU) has signed a Letter of Collaboration with the Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency (PHATA), establishing a strategic partnership to advance research, innovation, training, and capacity building in the housing sector. The collaboration aims to develop sustainable, affordable, and climate-resilient housing solutions for Punjab.
The partnership will focus on sustainable design, alternative construction materials, policy development, and prototype innovations. By integrating academic research, hands-on learning, and applied construction methodologies, BNU and PHATA seek to address urban and climate challenges with evidence-based, practical approaches.
The collaboration formally commenced with the National Workshop on Sustainable Housing Futures at BNU from 9–11 January 2026. The workshop marked a significant step in strengthening academia–government cooperation, highlighting the shared commitment to sustainable development, innovation, and the creation of future-ready housing solutions for the region.
