BNU and DELIVETREE Partner to Advance Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action

Beaconhouse National University (BNU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DELIVETREE (Private) Limited to establish a collaborative framework focused on tree plantation, carbon monitoring, environmental impact verification, and sustainability education across Pakistan.

The MoU was signed by DELIVETREE Founder and CTO, Shahzada Izmerai Munim Durrani, following a presentation by Technical Lead Mr. Haleem, outlining the objectives and potential impact of the collaboration.

Rooted in a shared commitment to community service and environmental responsibility, the partnership will support the launch and expansion of the Parent A Tree campaign at BNU, beginning in Lahore with the aim of scaling it nationally. It will also explore the development of captive Miyawaki micro-oxygen plantations on BNU’s campus and affiliated institutional sites.

The collaboration further aims to accelerate tree maturation over a 10–20-year period, enhance carbon sequestration, and contribute to the development and adoption of Pakistan-specific emission factors and a local environmental verification framework aligned with international carbon standards.

Through this partnership, BNU and DELIVETREE seek to contribute to Pakistan’s broader climate and sustainability commitments, particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and the country’s Net Zero 2050 goals, while promoting greater awareness and participation in environmental stewardship among communities and institutions.
