On November 11, 2025, the School of Computer and Information Technology (SCIT) hosted a guest session with Mr. Shahbaz Ali, Founding Member of the Pakistan IT Forum (PITF) and a leading Digital Transformation Leader. The session, attended by faculty and students, offered a deep dive into AI, intelligent systems, and the future of technology-driven problem solving.
Titled “Teaching Machines to Think: The Art of Building Agents,” the talk explored how machines can think, remember, and act as autonomous assistants. Students learned how simple programs evolve into sophisticated AI agents by integrating three key components: Large Language Models (LLMs), memory, and functional tools.
The session provided practical insights into how AI agents interact with real-world data, make informed decisions, and power intelligent applications across industries. Students engaged actively, gaining a clearer understanding of the potential and limitations of modern AI systems.
By bridging theory and practice, Mr. Ali inspired participants to think creatively about building AI-driven solutions that are scalable, adaptive, and capable of shaping the next generation of digital innovation.
