Ms. Amna earned her Electrical Engineering degree from UET Lahore and advanced her studies in Computer Science & Applications at Virginia Tech, serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. She participated in UC Berkeley’s WISE program and was honored with the Best Performance Gold Medal as Esena Foundation's Star Student.
Ms. Amna began her academic journey in engineering, earning her undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. During her undergraduate studies, she demonstrated exceptional aptitude in both theoretical and applied aspects of engineering, laying a strong foundation for her interdisciplinary interests in technology and computer science. Her dedication to academic excellence was recognized early in her career when she was awarded the Best Performance Gold Medal as Esena Foundation's Star Student in 2005, highlighting her commitment to learning and innovation.
Building on her engineering background, Ms. Amna advanced her studies at the Virginia Tech Graduate School, where she focused on Computer Science & Applications. While pursuing her graduate degree, she contributed to the academic community as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, mentoring students and assisting in the development of course materials. In 2015, she further broadened her horizons by participating in the Women’s Institute in Summer Enrichment (WISE) program at the University of California, Berkeley, sponsored by the Team for Research in Ubiquitous Secure Technology (TRUST). This experience allowed her to engage in cutting-edge research in secure technology and reinforced her commitment to advancing opportunities for women in STEM fields.
