BNU Partners with Research Society of International Law (RSIL)

BNU recently got into a partnership with Research Society of International Law (RSIL) – a private sector research and policy institution based in Pakistan whose mission is to conduct research on the intersection between international law and the Pakistani legal context.

This collaboration will not only provide internship opportunities to students of BNU, but also create collaboration opportunities in joint research publications on sustainability, sustainable finance, and Fintech, particularly the legal aspects of sustainable finance, which can even be presented as reports, interactive programmes and documentary-style videos.

Experts from the RSIL team shall mentor students in the provision of necessary information and advice regarding national and international opportunities to further their climate advocacy, including guest lectures, one-on-one mentoring sessions and consultations at BNU by the RSIL team, in seminars and workshops hosted by RSIL, connecting students and faculty with climate change and environmental professionals. RSIL will assist professionals at BNU in developing short professional training courses and academic courses, while sharing the relevant research using audio-visual media through explainer videos and podcasts.

Additionally, RSIL will also facilitate the ongoing BNU Green Initiative with WWF, helping BNU in its journey of becoming Pakistan's first certified green campus, all while assisting the JS Chair in developing and teaching academic courses on climate change, environment, and Fintech for universities and institutes in Pakistan, sharing subject matter expertise consolidated on climate change law, environmental law and climate finance in the Climate & Environment Initiative during the development of such courses.
