BNU's Zainab Younus Represents Pakistan at Al-Batinah International Film Festival in Oman

Beaconhouse National University (BNU) takes immense pride in announcing the remarkable achievement of its MS Film & TV graduating student, Zainab Younus, from the Department of TV, Film and Theatre at the School of Media and Mass Communication (SMC-TFT). Zainab had the honor of representing Pakistan at the prestigious Al-Batinah International Film Festival in Oman, where her thesis film took center stage at the closing ceremony.

The film, a testament to Zainab's artistic prowess, was shortlisted among 18 films out of 152 submissions for the final screening at the festival's closing ceremony. This recognition follows a prior shortlisting for screening in Russia, showcasing the global appeal of Zainab's cinematic creation.

In addition to her success in Oman, Zainab Younus also made her mark at the Student Academy Awards in 2023, a testament to her talent and dedication to the craft of filmmaking. As she gears up for graduation, completing her MS in Film & TV, Zainab acknowledges the invaluable guidance received from her mentors, Dr. Wajiha Raza Rizvi, and Sarmed Ibraheem Cheema, who played instrumental roles in the development and completion of her outstanding thesis film.

BNU extends its heartfelt congratulations to Zainab Younus on these exceptional accomplishments, and we eagerly anticipate witnessing the continued success of our graduates on the global stage.
