RHSA Faculty Member Presents Research on Climate Change and Disaster Resilience at an International Conference
Ms. Shajeea Shuja, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Bachelor in Interior Design Program at the Razia Hassan School of Architecture, Beaconhouse National University (BNU), showcased her expertise on a global platform at the International Conference on Climate Change and Disaster Risk. The conference, spanning from October 25th to October 27th, 2023, was hosted by the China-Pakistan Joint Research Center on Earth Sciences (CPJRC) at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
Ms. Shuja's research paper, titled “Mangrotha Gharbi: Strategies for Developing a Flood Resilient Community”, was a highlight in the session on the "Impact of Climate Change on Heritage Protection and Its Countermeasures." The paper delves into innovative strategies aimed at fostering flood resilience within communities, with a focus on the Mangrotha Gharbi region.
