Dr. Wajiha Raza Rizvi Served as a Respondent at a Webinar Organized by UNICEF/IAMCR with Global Alliance for Social and Behaviour Change

Dr. Wajiha Raza Rizvi, Associate Professor and Head of MS Film & TV, SMC (TFT), served as a respondent at a special session organized by UNICEF/IAMCR with Global Alliance for Social and Behaviour Change on Tuesday, 21 February 2023, 13:00 – 14:00 UTC on Zoom.

International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) has been managing the UNICEF/IAMCR Communication for Development Research Fund for the past few years. The UNICEF/IAMCR 2021 awardees were given the first opportunity to share their work with a wider network of academics and practitioners through a webinar organised by UNICEF/IAMCR with the Global Alliance for Social and Behaviour Change (http://www.globalalliancesbc.org/) at 13:00 UTC (6:00pm PST) on February 21, 2023. Dr. Wajiha Raza Rizvi along with another academic and two practitioners served as respondents for the presentations. The UNICEF/IAMCR reached out to Dr. Rizvi and the other professor as the possible academic respondents in view of geographical considerations and also because Sneh Gupta (India) indicated that her work fits best in the Gender and Communication Section and the Caleb University Team (Nigeria) identified with the Health Communication Working Group of IAMCR. The webinar was planned for Tuesday, 21 February 2023, 13:00 – 14:00 UTC on Zoom. The awardees had prepared a 10-min video presentation each. Dr. Rizvi and one practitioner gave a response on the UNICEF funded presentation titled "Empowering adolescent girls through digital interventions in rural Rajasthan: A case study of Girls Effect’s Chhaa Jaa (Go Forth and Shine) programme" from India. The 2021 awardees (https://iamcr.org/unicef/c4d-2021-awarded) will next present their research projects at a special panel session at the IAMCR 2023 Lyon conference in France.
