Beaconhouse National University observed its Sixteenth Convocation on Saturday, 20th of February, 2022 at Tarogil Campus, Raiwind Road, Lahore. The ceremony was held in strict compliance with COVID-19 protocols and in line with NCOC guidelines.
Vice Chancellor, BNU, Mr. Shahid Hafiz Kardar, members of the Board of Governors, Mrs. Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri, Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, Dr. Parvez Hassan and Mr. Kasim Mahmud Kasuri graced the ceremony. Also present were the Deans, members of faculty and parents of graduating students.
The Vice Chancellor presented the annual report of the university followed by the ceremonial valedictory speech by Sijil Shahbaz Butt from the Institute of Psychology, BNU with CGPA of 4.00 in the MS Clinical and Counseling Psychology program.
The Chairperson, BNU Board of Governors, Mrs. Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri awarded 17 gold medals (with girls clinching 12 of them) to graduates who achieved top positions in their respective programs.
A total of 432 graduates were awarded degrees at the ceremony of which 299 were from the undergraduate degree programs, 20 in the MA programs, 109 in MS/M/Phil programs and 4 received doctorate degrees.
As for the relevant academic units of the university, 116 graduates were from Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts & Design (SVAD), 52 from Razia Hassan School of Architecture (SA), 16 from Seeta Majeed School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS), 140 from the School of Media & Mass Communication (SMC), 16 from the School of Computer and Information Technology (SCIT), 13 from the School of Business (SB), 26 from the School of Education (SE) and 53 from the Institute of Psychology (IP).
The graduating class of 2021 was heartily congratulated by the Vice Chancellor who wished them a prosperous future and also commended the students who secured gold medals in their outstanding academic performances.
