UNESCO NGO Partners Create a Solidarity Network in Response to COVID-19
A facebook page of a network of associations has been created to exchange information, good practices, actions of solidarity and to monitor fundamental human rights. Many national and local members of international NGOs in partnership with UNESCO find themselves isolated and vulnerable as they face COVID-19. Although often located near one another and confronted with the same challenges, they do not always know each other and are vulnerable in the face of this pandemic. This project, limited in time, is an effort to respond specifically to this health and humanitarian emergency by establishing a network of solidarity.
BNU’s Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts & Design is also part of the network by virtue of UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute for South Asian Art and South Asia Foundation that provides scholarship to art an design students from all eight SAARC countries.
