TFT student Alizeb Raees to participate in Crossway Foundation’s Journey to the USA 2016
Alizeb Raees, a student of MS Film & Television program at Department of Theatre, Film & TV Beaconhouse National University has been invited by The Crossway Foundation to participate in its latest project in collaboration with Art Jameel titled “Journey to the USA 2016.”
Alizeb along with the selected group is travelling to the Southwest USA from 13 – 27th October to collaborate with arts and social organizations in Texas and New Mexico. The itinerary includes a visit to Marfa, a desert city in far West Texas that became an art hub when minimalist artist Donald Judd moved there in the 1970s; an intensive two-day workshop focusing on border issues with local students at the University of Texas at El Paso; experiencing life on a working ranch in Magdalena, New Mexico; and an immersive stay at Walter de Maria’s iconic land art work, The Lightning Field, in Catron County, New Mexico.
Alizeb has earlier represented BNU at CinemadaMare Film Festival in Italy, International Development Youth Forum in Japan, London International Documentary Festival and Offscreen Expeditions in UK.
