BNU welcomes its first batch of BBA
Beaconhouse National University welcomed the first batch of recently introduced BBA program in an orientation session held on September 26, 2016. Present on the occasion were Vice Chancellor BNU Mr. Shahid Hafiz Kardar, BBA faculty Mr. Ijaz Hussain, Mr. Farrukh Karamat, Mr. Daud Ahmed Dard, Mr. Tariq Maqbool, Ms. Sana Iqbal and Director DSAER, Mr. Zaeem Yaqoob Khan.
While giving the welcome note, Vice Chancellor Mr. Shahid Hafiz Kardar said that with the introduction of a BBA program, BNU aims to give a new dimension to business education in the country. He said that the focus of this program will be on practical learning rather than theory so that our graduates can compete well in the job market. He urged the students to make this program a success by dedicating their time in studies and striving towards excellence.
Mr. Ijaz Hussain shed light on the main features of the program and guided students about academic and disciplinary standards they have to maintain at BNU. This was followed by an introduction of faculty members.
Director Students Affairs & External Relations (DSAER), Mr. Zaeem Yaqoob Khan informed students about the facilities at BNU, various co-curricular activities they can take part in and how DSAER can assist them in job hunting and grabbing scholarship opportunities.
After the presentation, students were taken on a guided tour of the campus followed by refreshments.
BNU has introduced BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) program from Fall 2016 featuring two specializations; in Banking & Finance and Information Technology (IT). The program focuses on the functional aspects of the modern business and commerce. This 4-years program consist of 132 credit hours and 8 semesters, aimed at preparing entrepreneurs and business professionals who can lead and succeed in the ever-changing world of financial and non-financial entities.
