Students from the Department of Theatre, Film and TV Studies (TFT), School of Media and Mass Communication attended Spic Macay 4th International Convention at IIT Guwahati (Assam) in India. Held from 09-15 May, 2016, the convention was aimed at promoting art, culture & heritage of India with special importance to Yoga and its usefulness in daily life. HoD TFT, Syed Urooj Samdani also attended the convention.

During the convention, students attended daily Yoga sessions taken by renowned gurus from all over India. They also attended workshops on cinema appreciation, classical singing. They also got a chance to visit historical places of New Delhi, Agra and Vrindavan. This is a second visit of TFT Students to India to attend the Spic Macay Convention. Earlier, the convention was held in Mumbai in 2015.
