Cinematography Workshop at TFT by Andreas Burgess

Department of Theatre, Film and Television (TFT) at School of Media and Communications (SMC), BNU organized a two-day cinematography workshop by Emmy award winning cinematographer Andreas Burgess.

A graduate of Wesleyan University film studies program, Andreas Burgess is an internationally acclaimed cinematographer who has done a variety of work in Hollywood. His work has been screened at Cannes, Sundance, Full Frame, TriBeCa and on ABC, ESPN, PBS, TNT and Discovery. In 2015, Burgess received his second consecutive Emmy for his work on the 1950s/1960s period murder series A Crime to Remember. Some of his prominent works include ABC's innovative crime series Final Witness, Peter Glanz's short film A Relationship in Four Days, the Independent Spirit Award-Winning feature Conventioneers (directed by Mora Stephens), documentaries including In so many Words, 1971 and The Other Half of Tomorrow, and music videos for Pink and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

Burgess is a DOP of Mehreen Jabbar’s feature film Dobara Phir Se. TFT’s senior faculty member Mr. Bilal Sami has done the story and screenplay of the film.
