Visiting faculty member at School of Visual Arts and Design, Sara Aziz’s work “Painfully Beautiful” will be exhibited from 8th till 22nd of October, 2015 at Rohtas II Gallery, Lahore. Blurring the lines between sculpture, jewelry and fashion in a striking display, Sara Aziz explores the blurred boundaries between art and pain, and the price of beauty. On the one hand, the undeniable magnetism of a woman’s beauty transcends social, geographical and historical borders. On the other, its allure can start taking over, defining who we are and taking precedence over health and happiness.

Sara Aziz is an interdisciplinary artist based in Lahore, Pakistan and is a Gold Medalist and recipient of the Ian Eadie Award. Her show ‘Painfully Beautiful’ opened at Rohtas Gallery, Lahore, on 8th Oct, and continues to run till the 22nd.
