Holding a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, she currently serves within the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, delivering specialized evidence-based care across Community Mental Health and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy services.

Maryam built her foundational expertise at BNU’s Institute of Psychology, completing both her BS in Applied Psychology and her MS in Clinical and Counseling Psychology in 2021. She further advanced her academic journey internationally, earning a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DPsych) from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2025.

Currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist, Maryam works within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and the CASCADE Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) service at the NHS. Her practice delivers crucial support to individuals facing complex psychological challenges through a compassionate, research-informed framework.
