Dr. Akmal Hussain

Dr. Akmal Hussain is a distinguished economist and academician with expertise in economic policy, development economics, and sustainable development. He has served in various capacities advising governments in Pakistan and contributing to international deliberations on Sustainable Development Goals. Dr. Hussain has a strong educational background with a PhD from the University of Sussex and degrees from the University of Cambridge. He is known for his contributions to policy discussions, research publications, and advocacy for inclusive and sustainable development.

Prof. Dr. Hafiz Pasha

Dr. Hafiz Pasha, Head of the Center for Public Policy & Professor Emeritus, is a distinguished economist with extensive experience in academia, public policy, and government advisory roles. He has held prominent positions such as Federal Commerce Minister, Federal Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, and Deputy Chairman/Federal Minister of the Planning Commission. Dr. Pasha boasts a strong educational background with a PhD from Stanford University and an M.A. from Cambridge University. He is widely recognized for his significant contributions to governance, public finance, poverty alleviation, and social development..

Mr. Ijaz Hussain

Mr. Ijaz Hussain is a distinguished academician and professional specializing in Economics, Accounting, and Finance. He holds an Associate membership with the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ACMA) and a master's degree in Economics from Government College University, Lahore. Joining BNU in 2007, Mr. Hussain brings over 30 years of extensive experience in teaching, research, and administration within prestigious academic institutions. Renowned for his contributions to economics education, he has an impressive portfolio of research publications and has demonstrated exceptional academic leadership throughout his career.

Dr. Shah Ali Murtaza

Dr. Shah Ali Murtaza is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience across various multinational firms. As a certified master trainer and life coach, he possesses exceptional communication skills that inspire audiences to excel. He specializes in organizational development and change management, having contributed to the capacity building of over two thousand individuals in banking, corporate sectors, government, and academia in Pakistan. Dr. Murtaza has taught as a visiting faculty member at multiple private and public universities in Pakistan and Hungary. His research interests include organizational behavior, employee well-being, workplace vitality, burnout, incivility, and corporate social responsibility. He has published in recognized peer-reviewed journals and presented at several international conferences.

Mr. Omar Naeem

Mr. Omar Naeem is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in corporate banking, finance, renewable energy, and academia. He holds prestigious qualifications including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter and an MBA from Institute of Business Administration. Mr. Naeem is known for his expertise in financial analysis, corporate finance, and business development, along with his contributions to academia through teaching and training programs.

Dr. Ahsan Ahmad

Dr. Ahsan Ahmad is a dedicated academician and financial analyst with expertise in corporate finance, fintech trends and innovations, investment and portfolio optimization, financial management, sustainability reporting, and governance considerations. He holds a PhD from the University of Malaya, the business school accredited by AACSB and ranked among the top 100 universities globally. Dr. Ahmad is known for his teaching, research, consultancy services, and training in financial markets and investment strategies. With his extensive experience, academic achievements, and commitment to fostering financial literacy, Dr. Ahmad continues to be a driving force in the field of finance, bridging the gap between theory and practice and inspiring the next generation of finance professionals.

Dr. Muhammad Zafran

Dr. Muhammad Zafran is an experienced academician and researcher specializing in Supply Chain Management and Marketing. He has a strong educational background with a PhD from Turiba University Latvia and a master's degree from London Metropolitan University. Dr. Zafran has extensive teaching and research experience at national and international institutions and is known for his expertise in supply chain optimization, marketing strategies, and research publications.

Dr. Fareed ud Din Qureshi

Dr. Ali Abbas

Dr. Ali Abbas is a dynamic academician and researcher specializing in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Higher Education Branding. He has a strong educational background with a PhD from Turiba University Latvia and a master's degree from Satakunta University, Finland. Dr. Abbas has extensive teaching and research experience at national and international institutions and is known for his expertise in marketing strategies, branding, and entrepreneurship studies.

Ms. Sana Iqbal

Ms. Sana has over 7 years of experience in academia. She has done MS in Management Sciences with major in finance, from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, and completed her BS in Business Administration from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology with silver medal. She has published her research in reputed international journals like Journal of Asian Economics and Global Business Review. Her research is also presented in fourth European Research Conference on Microfinance, held in University of Geneva in June 2015. In addition to that, she has worked as a research fellow on projects under Beaconhouse Center for Policy and Research (BCPR), and as a research associate on project titled “Charter of Economy – Agenda for Economic Reforms in Pakistan” published by Friedrich-Ebert- Stiftung (FES) in 2021. Her research interests include microfinance, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and sustainable consumption.

Dr. Shamshad Akhtar

Former Finance Minister of Pakistan

Dr. Shamshad Akhtar is a distinguished Pakistani development economist, United Nations diplomat, banker, and politician with an extensive career in leadership roles. She served twice as Caretaker Federal Minister of Finance (2018 and 2023–2024) and was the 14th Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, becoming the first woman to hold this position. Her international roles include serving as a Senior Adviser to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Vice-President of the World Bank, and Under-Secretary-General and 10th Chief Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

Mr. Aamir Ibrahim

CEO, Jazz

Mr. Aamir is Chief Executive Officer of Jazz, Pakistan’s number one 4G operator and leading digital service provider with around 71 million subscribers. Prior to his position as CEO, Aamir was Jazz’s Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer.

Aamir has over two decades of international experience as a senior executive across multiple industries and continents. Asim Ibrahim is the Group Chief Executive Officer of OBHG, leading renowned brands such as Café Aylanto, Fuchsia, Mad Italian, and Fine Foods. With over 30 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, and international consultancy, Asim has held key roles, including Senior Vice President of Operations at Hashoo Group, managing 10 five-star hotels and 20 select-service hotels in Pakistan. Former President & CEO, Engro Corporation

Ghias Khan is the 4th President & CEO of Engro Corporation, where he has led transformative changes since 2016, focusing on revamping strategy, culture, and global outreach. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing Engro’s petrochemical initiatives, consolidating energy assets under Engro Energy, and launching Engro Enfrashare, deploying over 2,200 telecom towers across Pakistan. Under his guidance, Engro Fertilizers achieved record urea production, contributing to Pakistan’s food security, while his leadership in digital transformation through the OneSAP initiative has made Engro a pioneer in corporate digitization. Saad Munawar Khan is the Senior Franchise and Key Accounts Director at PepsiCo Beverages for Pakistan and Afghanistan, with over 14 years of experience at PepsiCo. Since 2020, he has overseen PepsiCo’s commercial strategy, focusing on building a world-class consumer-focused franchise and enhancing collaboration with franchise-owned bottling operations.

Mr. Khan has held leadership roles in Pakistan Foods, as well as marketing and insights positions in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos.
