Breast cancer is a serious health concern that affects many women around the world.
In an effort to raise awareness and show support for those affected by breast cancer, the Institute of Psychology hosted a fun and engaging on-campus Breast Cancer Awareness Event on February 23, 2023, at the SLASS ground. To show support for the cause, students, faculty, and staff members wore pink on the day of the event. The celebrations commenced with an awareness walk across the campus, lead by respected Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ruhi Khalid. The walk was joined by other dignitaries, faculty and students from the Institute of Psychology.
The event featured a range of activities, including a bake sale with delicious treats and refreshments. All proceeds from the event were donated to the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Hospital.
In addition to the bake sale, the department organized a variety of board games available for students to play and enjoy with friends. This served as a great opportunity for the participants to take a break from their routine, relax, and have some fun while also supporting a great cause.
