Dr. Wajiha Raza Razvi as Keynote Speaker at Global Communication Education Conclave

Eminent professors Prof. (Dr) Ambrish Saxena and Dr. Manmeet Kaur from India invited Dr. Wajiha Raza Rizvi to present as a Keynote Speaker at the 72nd session of the World's longest-running media education event - Global Communication Education Conclave (GCEC) on 27th April 2022.

Global Media Education Council (GMEC) https://gmec.online/ is a global professional body of media educators and practitioners, and media institutes and departments of universities, committed to the cause of nurturing talent for the media and entertainment professional careers of their mentees. Anyone who is a media and entertainment teacher/educator in a college or university can be Council general member.

Global Communication Education Conclave (GCEC) is the launch event of Global Media Education Council (GMEC). GCEC 2021-22 21 is spread over 75 evenings, with each webinar being of 75 minutes, bringing together 75 stalwarts of Indian media education, 75 policy makers (ministers and bureaucrats), 75 foreign media stalwarts, 150 media researchers, and 75 edtech companies. It shall be the largest ever media education initiative in Asia. The number 75 is dedicated to the 75th year of Indian independence. It shall be the largest ever media education initiative in Asia.

The first webinar in the series was organized on October 21, 2021.

Dr. Manmeet Kaur is the working committee member of GMEC and Prof. (Dr) Ambrish Saxena who is Dean DMU invited her to the webinar of this conclave GCEC scheduled on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 7:15 to 9.15 pm IST to present as the Keynote Speaker during the discourse this evening. The theme of the day is participatory approach in development communication. They also invited her to attend the last two sessions of this world’s longest running media event as a panelist on 29th and 30th April 2022.

Earlier Dr. Rizvi and Dr. Saxena also co-organized and moderated a 90min online session with 08 INSPIRING WOMEN - GLOBAL FACES / international academics including 6 PhDs and other eminent speakers from UNESCO, USA, Europe, Australia, India, Pakistan and Lebanon on the international women's day 2022. BNU Film Theory & Criticism students attended this program titled GENDERED MEDIA SPACE: SHATTERING THE GLASS SCREEN at 8 PM IST/2.30 PM UTC at 730pm on March 8, 2022.
