Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD) at Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore’s leading liberal arts university under the Deanship of Rashid Rana, opened its doors to the public for its 10th annual Master of Art and Design Studies (MA ADS) 2022 thesis exhibition.
The exhibition, inaugurated by Sehyr Saigol, a prominent figure in the Pakistan fashion industry and chairperson of the Pakistan Fashion Design Council, was held from the 21st to the 26th of February at the BNU New Campus, off Raiwind Road, Lahore.
The MA ADS program at SVAD is designed as a student-led program involving research, self-reflection, and questioning the boundaries of art, design, and its link to various other fields and disciplines.
The exhibition included the works of twelve artists, designers, engineers from across Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.
This year’s degree show was aimed at giving viewers a glimpse into the potential of art and design’s integration into the wider context of Pakistan.
