BNU Wins Cotton First Students Design Competition 2021
We are immensely proud to share that our students from the Department of Textile, Fashion & Jewellery Design, MDSVAD, won the Cotton First Students Design Competition 2021, held on October 14, 2021 in Lahore. The competition was a part of 4th Edition of the Inspiring Change Conference organized by TexTalks.
“Cotton First – Student competition” showcased the Fashion Draping and Silhouettes, mainly produced from cotton fabrics with innovative ideas by the student designers of top fashion institutes including Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design, Government College University, Punjab Tainjin University of Engineering & Technology, University of Management and Technology, Institute for Art and Culture, Superior University and Beaconhouse National University.
BNU's team led by Mr. Usama Sidhu bagged the first prize of Rs. 50, 000 for showcasing recyclable denim and cotton ensembles handcrafted using innovative and contemporary design elements.
The jury comprised of Her Excellency Ms. Androulla Kaminara, The European Union Ambassador to Pakistan, and Mr. Deepak Perwani, CEO, Deepak Perwani, Pakistan.
