Dr Farooq Sulehria, Assistant Professor at DLA, is jointly guest-editing India Review’s special issue on Partition. India Review  is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes five issues annually.

Dr Sulehria’s guest-edited special issue is out summer next year as August 2022 marks 75th anniversary of Partition. This special issue, instead of exploring the Partition history, aims at evaluating the role of Ideological State Apparatuses (ISAs) in producing, reproducing and narrating Partition.

Dr Sulehria’s co-editor is Dr Amit Ranjan, a Research Fellow at National University Singapore (NUS). Scholars from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are contributing to the special issue. Dr Sulehria has also contributed a paper, titled, ‘Lollywood on Partition: Surprise departures, anticipated arrivals’.
