Institute of Psychology, Beaconhouse National University in collaboration with Pakistan Academy of Cognitive Therapy (PACT) organized a workshop on “Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Psychosis” held on Tuesday, 3rd March 2020. The facilitator for the workshop was Dr. Farooq Naeem, Professor University of Toronto & Staff Psychiatrist, Center of Addiction & Mental Health, (Toronto, Canada). CBT has the strongest evidence base of all the psychotherapies and the aforementioned workshop focused on the principles of CBT with reference to psychotic patients. Students gained practical insight about the major challenges they may come across while implementing Cognitive Behavior Therapy with psychotic patients. Such workshops are regularly organized for IP students to update their knowledge and skills.
