BNU’s first cohort of eleven students embarked on a two-week intensive summer program in USA. The program has come about by virtue of a collaborative arrangement between Beaconhouse National University and Millersville University, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA.
The program, led by Millersville University, is a cultural and academic immersion initiative featuring an action-packed itinerary for the participants that includes introduction to dorm life in US varsities, workshops, visits to educational institutions including University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), Penn State, Temple, NYU, Pace and Hofstra universities besides a number of cultural activities.
The program has also received support from the Consulate General of the United States of America, Lahore, Pakistan. It is first-of-its-kind endeavor geared at familiarizing interested BNU students with the system of Higher Education in the United States of America. The purpose of the program is to help students in making more informed choices regarding further education, especially those preferring USA as a likely destination for their graduate and post-graduate education.
