Students’ work appreciated at SCIT Demo Day
A Demo Day was organized at School of Computer & Information Technology (SCIT) on June 11, 2015 featuring students’ projects related to marketing, management, and Software Engineering. The event was attended by respected guests from different Universities, IT Firms and other organizations who evaluated these projects. Vice Chancellor BNU, Mr. Shahid Hafiz Kardar and Rector Virtual University Dr. Naveed Malik also visited the Demo Day and appreciated the hard work and dedication of students.
The judges who evaluated marketing projects included Mr. Afzal Hassan and Mr. Attique ur Rehman. Ms. Ambreen Waheed and Mr. Hammad Mushtaq were the judges for Management (HR) projects, while Software related projects were evaluated by leading IT professionals and educationists including Dr. Khushro Shahokar, Mr. Bilal Bin Zaheer, Ms. Ayesha Chaudhry, Mr. Asgher Ali, Mr. Sheraz Pervaiz, Ms. Madiha Ijaz, Ms. Amna Humayun, Ms. Maliha Ijaz, Mr. Naveed Ahmed Khan, and Mr. Syed Hassan Adnan.
The projects on display included technological solutions and support for different sectors and business ventures. Students also developed e-commerce portals, mobile apps, and management applications catering to various segments of the society. The judges and visitors highly appreciated the work of students and praised the efforts of SCIT’s faculty for preparing a new lot of IT professionals.
The Demo Day marked the final presentation and evaluation of projects of the graduating batch of Management and Business Computing (MBC), Finance and Business Computing (FBC), and Software Engineering (SE) programs offered at SCIT. We like to wish all the best to the graduating batch and hope that these students will contribute to the progress of Pakistan’s IT industry.
