The students of Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD) participated in a design workshop, initiated and organized by the Annemarie-Schimmel-Haus, German Cultural Centre, in association with the Goethe-Instutu Pakistan. Held between 16th and 24th March 2015, the workshop was titled Hamari Hariyali – Hamari Kamei: New Business Ideas for Model Town Park, which translates into 'Our Green Spaces – Our benefit: New Business Ideas for Model Town Park.'
The workshop was conducted by Prof. Dr. Brigitte Wolf from Wuppertal University in Germany and Dipl. Des. Gwendolyn Kulick (M.A.) from SVAD.
Based on observations and interviews in Model Town Park the workshop participants developed new business ideas. The focus was on improving the visitors’ positive experience of the park. For each business idea, a complete business model has been developed in order to present potentially long lasting and sustainable possibilities for micro-enterprises.
