Samiha Khan – Making BNU Proud

A Fine Arts student at Mariam Dawood School of Visual Art and Design (SVAD), Samiha Khan is making BNU proud through her work and achievements. She is awarded an artist residency grant program at Le CouveNT in France. During this residency, she will collaborate with other artists and will benefit from an intense production time enhanced by the exchange of ideas and experiences with peers.

Samiha has also exhibited two of her video works, "Be" and "Kot Kar(beaten)"at Venice Art House Gallery for the show “Borders and Disorders.” This contemporary art exhibition of photography, video-art, painting, installation and performance art was held in Venice Art House Gallery, from 13th-20th March, 2015. Besides proving her mettle at different international platforms, she has also won the first prize at the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) Videography Contest. Her documentary; “Kot Kar” (beaten) was declared the best among 60 films submitted from across the country in the Women’s Rights category.
