Tayyab’s “Human Exelixi” (Human Progress) is selected for X Florence Biennale 2015. He is also listed among Top 50 artists 2014 by Blooom Award by Warsteiner.
A graduate from the Mariam Dawood School of Visual Arts and Design (SVAD), Tayyab Tariq is making BNU proud through back-to-back international recognitions. His much acclaimed work “Human Exelixi” (Human Progress) was recently selected by the International Selections Committee for X Florence Biennale 2015. The event will be held from October 17th to 25th, 2015 at the historic venue, Fortezza da Basso, in the heart of Florence city and will coincide with the 150th anniversary of Florence Capital of Risorgimental Italy and Milan Expo 2015. The event will bring together several contemporary artists from around the world.
Tayyab has also been shortlisted among Top 50 artists of 2014 by Blooom Award by Warsteiner. The award is a stepping stone for emerging artists and offers young creatives a chance to get their start in the international art market.
Tayyab’s work “Human Exelixi” (Human Progress) is a 2 minutes 44 seconds video that explores the thematic and conceptual axis of “Human and its progress.” He has earlier exhibited this work at MANIFESTA 10 - The European Biennale of Contemporary Art in Saints Petersburg. He has also participated at Hybrid Identities International art Expo 2014/2015 and had his solo exhibition at Gallery 21 in Moscow, Russia from February 6 - March 13, 2014.
