Dr. Qudsia Kalsoom is working as an assistant professor and Head of the Department of Educational Leadership & Management at Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore.
Dr Kalsoom is an HEC-Approved PhD Supervisor. She has published papers in refereed, impact factor, international journals as well as in HEC recognized national journals. She has also contributed encyclopedia entries and chapters in peer reviewed, edited works published by leading international publishers like Springer and Peter Lang. She has reviewed a number of local and international research papers on education. In recognition of her services, as a peer reviewer, Dr Kalsoom was awarded “outstanding reviewer award” by the Journal of Cleaner Production, a leading transdisciplinary journal. Her work focuses on education for sustainable development, critical action research, social justice teacher education and leadership. Dr. Kalsoom has been selected as a member of the editorial advisory board by the International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education. The journal is a very prestigious journal (with an impact factor of 1.4) in social sciences.
Dr. Kalsoom has been serving in the field of education for the past 21 years. Prior to joining BNU, she served as an assistant professor and Chair of the Department of Professional Studies at Ali Institute of Education for 10 years. Besides, she served as Head of the Continuing Professional Development Centre for two years. Dr Kalsoom has also contributed in educational projects of USAID, UNICEF and GIZ. She is an accomplished teacher trainer who has trained teachers of a range of schools including: Aitchison College, Lahore Grammar, Lawrence College, LACAS and public sector schools. Moreover, she has served as a resource person for Punjab Higher Education Commission and trained college lecturers and assistant professors. Dr. Kalsoom has recorded two courses (each of 3 credits) for the Virtual University of Pakistan.
