Emotional Intelligence of Manager’s in Relation to Employee’s Job Satisfaction

The present research analyzed the relationship between emotional intelligence of managers and job satisfaction of employees. The sample consisted of 28 personnel, out of which 7 were mangers and 21 were employees working directly under them. The sample was collected from a private sector organization. Emotional intelligence in employees was measured by using the Scale of Emotional Intelligence and job satisfaction was measured by using the Job Satisfaction Survey. Moreover, psychosocial factors were measured by using demographic information sheet. Results suggested that there was a significant direct relationship between manager’s emotional intelligence and employee’s job satisfaction. The study holds useful implications for organizational setting.
