JS Bank, a leading financial institution renowned for its commitment to sustainable banking and fintech innovation, has forged a strategic alliance with Beaconhouse National University, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This collaborative effort is aimed at establishing a dedicated Chair in Sustainability and Fintech.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was officially signed by Mr. Basir Shamsie, President & CEO of JS Bank Limited, and Dr. Moeed Yusaf, Vice Chancellor of BNU.
The newly established Chair in Sustainability and Fintech, generously funded by JS Bank, will function as a hub for research, innovation, and thought leadership in the realms of sustainability and fintech. Its mandate will encompass a wide range of activities, including Research & Development, Policy Advocacy, Green Leadership Initiatives, as well as Educational Workshops and Training Programs.
In addition to this pioneering MOU signed with JS Bank, Beaconhouse National University (BNU) has further expanded its horizons of financial innovation with another significant Memorandum of Understanding with the bank that centers around the Zindigi Finance App by JS Bank.
The primary objective of this MOU is to propel Beaconhouse National University into becoming Pakistan's first cash-free university. This pioneering partnership aims to modernize payment systems, eliminating cash transactions and promoting financial inclusion among students. By fostering a secure and user-friendly digital payment ecosystem, both BNU and JS Bank are committed to setting a groundbreaking example in higher education finance.
