BNU's Leadership
BNU is supported comprehensively by a structured Board of Governors, Board of Directors and Board of Trustees comprising of eminent persons and philanthropists from Pakistan’s corporate sector and academic circles. Our leadership represents the best of the country's seasoned minds in terms of integrity, commitment and dedication to academic and philanthropic causes.
The Board of Governors steers the overall strategic vision of the university. The Boards of Directors of BNU and Board of Trustees have been instrumental in support of the financial health of the institution which includes financial assistance for acquisition of 32 acres of land for the new campus and auxiliary buildings, covering of the operational deficit and contributions for the newly constructed academic blocks at the new campus.
BNU has leveraged its networks and alliances to mobilize financial resources for the partial completion of infrastructure, financial assistance for deserving students from friends of BNU, South Asia Foundation and a student endowment fund with the courtesy of PEP (Promotion of Education in Pakistan) Foundation, New York. The transparency in dispensation of funds has inspired trust of donors and sponsors.

Mrs. Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri, CHAIRPERSON BNUF
Mrs. Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri, who serves as the chairperson of Beaconhouse National University Fund, is the founder of Pakistan’s largest school system, Beaconhouse School System. After completing her graduation from Kinnaird College, she studied Child Psychology at the postgraduate level at Punjab University. She holds a joint degree issued by the Universities of NYU (USA), LSE (UK), and HEC (France) in Business Administration (MBA). She has served on the boards of many governmental and non-governmental organizations. She was honored with Sitara-e-Eisaar in 2006 by the Government of Pakistan for her remarkable contributions in the philanthropic and humanitarian fields. She has also received Woman Power 100 award in London, which is awarded to the influential men and women from within the international Pakistani community.

Dr. Moeed Yusuf, Vice Chancellor BNU
Recognized as one of the leading scholars of his generation, Dr. Yusuf has a rich academic background, having taught Political Science and International Relations at esteemed institutions such as Boston University, George Washington University, Lahore University of Management Sciences, and Quaid-e-Azam University. He has held several significant positions throughout his career, including most recently as Pakistan’s youngest National Security Adviser. He has also been a Research Fellow at Boston University’s Pardee School and Harvard University’s Kennedy School and an Associate Vice President at the U.S. Institute of Peace. As an accomplished writer, Dr. Yusuf has published extensively. His last book, Brokered Bargaining, was published by Stanford University Press in 2018. He holds a Master's degree in International Relations and a PhD in Political Science from Boston University.

Mr. Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri
Mr. Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri is a renowned politician, senior Foreign Service statesman and a diplomat who has served as the Foreign Minister of Pakistan from 2002 to 2007. He serves as the member of Board of Governors and Board of Directors at Beaconhouse National University. After completing his BA (Hons) from Punjab University, he went abroad for higher education and earned a tripos in Law from Cambridge University, and a post-graduate degree in Public Administration and Political Science from University of Oxford. He took French Civilization courses at the Sorbonne University in Paris and the University of Nice in France and lectured at leading American Universities in their South Asian and Political Science Faculties.

Mr. Kasim Mahmud Kasuri
Mr. Kasim Mahmud Kasuri has been serving as the CEO of Beaconhouse School System since 2005. His contributions towards the development of education in Pakistan are commendable. He has been the driving force behind the international development of Beaconhouse group. Mr. Kasim Kasuri is involved in the establishment of TNS Beaconhouse, a progressive new school and also founded Beaconhouse-Informatics. He has represented Pakistan at various national and international summits and has the honor of serving as Vice Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Pakistan. He was nominated a ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2009.

Dr. Parvez Hassan
Dr. Parvez Hassan is a renowned lawyer and senior advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He holds a Doctor of Law from Harvard University; a Master of Law from Yale University; and a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Arts from Punjab University. He has been honored with numerous national and international awards, including Global 500 Roll of Honor of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and Elizabeth Haub Prize (1998). He has been recognized as one of the world leaders in Environmental Law. The 7th International Conference on Environmental Law - held in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2003 - was held against the backdrop of 'A Tribute to Parvez Hassan'. He received an Honorary Membership of IUCN - The World Conservation Union for ‘outstanding services to conservation of nature and natural resources’ in 2000.
Dr. Parvez Hassan is affiliated with various international and national organizations and has extensive affiliations to the Government of Pakistan. He has written numerous articles on law, environment and national affairs which have been published in various law journals and other publications in the U.S, Europe and Pakistan. He also serves on the Editorial Board of the Asia Pacific Journal of Environmental Law and the Journal of Human Rights and the Environment.

Mr. Mueen Afzal
Mr. Mueen Afzal holds Masters Degree in Political Science, Philosophy and Economics from the renowned University of Oxford. He is an extremely respectable and well-known member of a Civil Service of Pakistan and has served as former Secretary Finance, Secretary Health and Secretary General in the Government of Pakistan. He was also honored with Hilal-e-Imtiaz in 2002 for his remarkable public services.
Currently, he is serving as a Chairman of the Pakistan Tobacco Company and is an eminent member on the Boards of ICI Pakistan, Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy and the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund.

Ms. Christine Dawood
Christine Dawood grew up in a family business environment and started her own successful organic agriculture business on a commercial scale in Punjab.
Christine is the Executive Coach and CEO of Next Step Now Ltd; she believes everybody can reach their full potential. She draws from a range of models and approaches but in particular cognitive behavioural, person-centred, solution-focused, and strengths-based methodologies.
Owing to her German heritage in conjunction with her living in Asia for over a decade, she developed a wide understanding of the many nuances in individual’s behaviours and found an appreciation and fascination for those differences. This skill is especially helpful when analysing organisational cultures, in particular when there is a need of change.
She holds an BSc (Dipl. Ing.) in Textile Technology and Management, an Executive Masters degree in ‘Consulting & Coaching for Change’ from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and HEC Paris, and a MSc. in Occupational & Business Psychology, from Kingston University, London.

Her films include 'Student Athlete', 'A Girl in the River', 'Saving Face' & 'Sitara: Let Girls Dream'. She is also the recipient of the Tällberg Eliasson Global Leadership Prize.

Qazi Azmat Isa has 30 years of experience in the development sector. He is the CEO of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, the lead apex institution for
community-driven development in Pakistan.
Qazi Azmat Isa has a passionate commitment to improve the lives of poor and marginalized people across Pakistan. This commitment is tempered by a healthy pragmatism emanating from a diverse and cross-sectoral work experience and close contacts with government (federal and provincial) NGO’s, Donors (Multilateral and Bilateral) and communities. This background has provided Mr. Qazi Azmat Isa with a deep insight of the issues in development and has enabled him wherever he has worked to forge genuine partnerships between all key players in the development process and delivering results for the deprived and underprivileged.
Previously Mr. Isa was with the World Bank working in the rural and social sectors. Posted in Afghanistan he managed the largest community driven development programme in the country and initiated a nationwide rural enterprise programme. Before that he headed a large NGO in Balochistan. Currently he is a member of Poverty Alleviation Coordination Council and Ehsaas Core Implementation Committee, Ehsaas is a flagship programme of PM Imran Khan's government. He also serves on several boards including Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company Limited and Benazir Income Support Programme; the premier safety net programme in Pakistan.
