The Institute of Psychology has organized a lecture by Dr Daniel Christie, Professor Emeritus from Ohio State University and Fulbright specialist in Peace and Conflict Studies, on 20th of December, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Auditorium at Tarogil Campus. It is noteworthy that the Institute of Psychology offers a course in Peace Psychology and the present lecture will be of great value for development in Peace Psychology.

Dr. Ruhi Khalid, Director IP, presented a paper in the Annual Conference of the British Psychological Society's Psychology of Women Section (11-13 July 2012) at Cumberland Lodge, Windsor, UK. The topic of the study was “Rising from the Ruins: Women Survivors of the Azad Kashmir Earthquake”. The presentation and the research findings were well received and commended by the audience owing to the study’s emphasis on the positive psychological aspects of women survivors instead of simply highlighting their problems.
