Dr. Cathy Wilson, director of the art education graduate program at MCA, spent a month this summer teaching art education courses at Beaconhouse National University in Lahore, Pakistan on a Fulbright Specialist Grant. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright Program provides funding for students, scholars, teachers and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching and teaching in elementary and secondary schools. Wilson helped initiate this program -- the first of its kind in South Asia -- and this was her third trip to Pakistan in the past two years. This is Wilson's second Fulbright Award, as she is also the recipient of a Fulbright Scholar Award.
