Saeed Ahmed, 66, of 622-G4, Johar Town, Lahore, died Tuesday night in an unfortunate road accident.
Saeed saab was Incharge Tarogill at the Chilli factory adjacent to New Campus. He supervised all administrative affairs at the pre-fab campus since its inception in Fall 2006. He also rendered tireless services during major events at Tarogill including exhibitions, convocations and building inaugurations. Since the inception of the SLASS building in September 2011, he was actively involved with its operations and maintenance.
On the evening of June 26, 2012, Saeed saab was travelling back home from New Campus on his motorbike when he collided with an unidentified vehicle. He suffered critical injuries to his legs and face and was rushed to the nearest hospital. Unfortunately, within a few hours, he suffered a major heart attack and passed away.
Saeed is survived by his wife and five children: four daughters and one son; two of whom were still living with him.
His burial was held at 7 a.m. Wednesday morning at Johar Town graveyard.
As a senior colleague, he was respected by all and helpful to everyone. His death is a tragic loss for his family, friends, colleagues, students and University alike. His smiling face and humble demeanor shall be remembered by one and all. We pray that the Almighty gives strength and courage to his family members to bear this loss.
A short ceremony will be held at City Campus on Thursday June 28 after Zuhr prayers at 02:00pm to offer Fateyah and condolences for the departed soul.
