BSc (Hons) in Economics & Business IT (EBIT)

Introduction

This program is jointly offered by the School of IT and the Department of Economics, BNU School of Social Sciences. The goal of the program is to produce business graduates who are well versed in economics and are able to effectively employ IT tools in their work.

In Pakistan, well qualified economists are needed to work on problems emanating from business, development and financial spheres. Most of the time, this requires strong fundamentals in theories of economics along with knowledge of how businesses and organizations work.

The graduates of the joint Economics and Business IT program will be able to effectively address the above need by bridging the gap between economic theorists and pure business and management people. Knowledge of IT will enable them to readily give an implementable form to their solution by harnessing appropriate IT systems and techniques.
