TFT's Virtual Voices: Between Lahore and London

 

Qasim Shah (Central School of Speech and Drama, UK) will be conducting a virtual voice session combining Linklater and classical South Asian techniques on 15 February in collaboration with Claire Pamment, member of faculty, Department of Theatre, Film and Television, Beaconhouse National University and her students of the acting theories and practice module, of the Theatre, Film and Television BA.

 

 

Qasim Shah is a published poet, North Indian classical singer, Sitar and Surbahar player, and Voice teacher. He graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire in 2003, where he later lectured and co-designed the Junior Conservatoire’s Indian music programme. Qasim also holds Birmingham School of Acting’s MA in Professional Voice Practice (2011). He has a working relationship with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and is currently researching Voice at Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London.
