Obituary

Madam Nighat Saleemi, 58, passed away Friday night after her long battle with cancer. Madam Nighat was Chief Librarian at BNU since 2009. During her tenure, she was instrumental in setting up the new libraries at New Campus as well as in introducing countless reforms that helped upgrade BNU’s library facilities.Since January 2012, Madam Saleemi was undergoing cancer treatment and still had been overseeing library matters from home, as and when her health permitted it.
