Senior UK actor Kaleem Janjua, whose work spans TV,film and theatre, will be leading a special guest improvisation workshop withTheatre Film and Television BA students on 16 February 2012, in collaborationwith Claire Pamment’s Acting Theories and Practice Module. His film creditsinclude ‘East is East’, ‘Bodies of Lies’ and ‘The Fifth Element’, amongstothers, and he has worked with prestigious UK theatre companies such as KaliTheatre, Riverside Studios, Stratford East and Derby Playhouse.

Dr. Taimur-ul-Hassan research article published

Dr Taimur-ul-Hassan’s research article as the first author with Dr Munawir Sabir, entitled ‘Civil Society-Democracy Nexus in Pakistan’, has been published by the HEC-approved South Asian Studies, a research journal of South Asian Studies, Volume 26, No.2, July-December 2011, PP 315-347. The article examines the relationship of civil society with democracy in Pakistan and pinpoints various deficiencies, including inadequate role of media, impeding its growth in Pakistan.

Sir Mohammed Anwar Pervez OBE, visited BNU’s new campus on Thursday, December 08, 2011 on an invitation of Chairperson, BNU Board of Governors, Mrs. Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri.

School of Education, under its Distinguished Lecture Series, has arranged a talk by Dr Fouzia Saeed, a renowned social reformer and human rights activist. The topic of her talk is “Women Speaking Out: Educating People in Gender Sensitivity”.
