The objective of the social sciences is to provide students with a basis for understanding human social behaviour while creating an awareness of the modern human condition.

The rise of industrycreated a series of problems ranging from social to political, from economic to psychological; resulting in the need to express ideas in the form of mathematical relationships. Now the post industrial age is grappling with the consequences of the communication revolution.

The courses at the School of Social Sciences are drawn from various disciplines which serve as the analytical background for the study of society in transition; historical, emerging and contemporary case studies.

At BNU, the School of Social Sciences (SSS) offers four year BA [Hons] degree programs at two Departments:

Department of Applied Psychology

Department of Economics
